Job description

The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects involving all aspects of civil engineering for private- and public-sector clients. Qualifications
The successful candidate will have the following technical and practical abilities to effectively thrive in this position:

  • BS degree in Civil Engineering
  • 0-3 years’ experience in Civil Engineering
  • Licensed Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or working towards it within the next year preferred
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Responsibilities

This position will require carrying out the following assignments and roles within an interdisciplinary environment:

  • Work on various tasks within a diverse, multi-disciplinary design team including civil engineers, planners, surveyors, landscape architects, and CAD drafters
  • Design and prepare engineering documents for specific design components of a project, including sediment erosion control, storm drain design and computations, water and sewer design, grade establishment plans, maintenance of traffic plans, and right-of-way improvement plans
  • Coordinate efforts with clients, agencies, consultants, and VIKA staff
