Job description

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Packing egg in 50# and 55# bags and bulk bags.
  • Operate and monitor the Automated Packaging System.
  • Inspects the bags for correct labels and lot/bag numbers.
  • Operate and monitor the compactor.
  • Dry blend powder.
  • Pulls samples and does lab analysis for ash and moisture content.
  • Identified wet finished product and checks for off color and bad odors in all finished products.
  • Makes sure the weights in the bags are correct.
  • Responsible for cleaning the Packing Room, tearing down and cleaning then reassembling the sifters and augers.
  • Must clean the bucket elevator, automated packaging system, compactors and hoppers.
  • Changes Dryer bags.
  • Fills out HACCP paperwork.
  • Must operate the following equipment: forklift, pallet jack, bulk bagging system, automatic stacker, liquefier and coder.
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of packing operations.
  • Strictly follows all Safety procedures and uses all required personal protective equipment.
  • Assures that established policy, procedures and work rules are followed.
  • All other duties as assigned
