About the Role
Were hiring an experienced Cook/Prep team member who can execute a high-quality breakfast menu
with Oaxacan influence. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, works
clean, and can confidently handle brunch-style egg dishes and traditional Oaxacan preparations.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook brunch-style egg dishes: omelets, scrambles, benedicts, chilaquiles, huevos
rancheros, breakfast tacos, etc.
Execute Oaxacan-inspired dishes such as enchiladas, chilaquiles, salsas, braises, and
traditional components
Complete daily prep: chopping, portioning, marinating, sauces
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation
Follow recipes and plating standards consistently
Assist with opening/closing duties, restocking, and inventory rotation
Uphold all food safety and sanitation procedures
Communicate clearly with the team to keep service smooth during peak hours
Required Qualifications
Proven experience as a line cook or prep cook in a breakfast or high-volume kitchen
Strong skills with egg cookery (scrambles, omelettes, poached eggs, benedicts)
Experience preparing Mexican or Oaxacan dishes
Valid California Food Handler Card & Sexual Harassment Certificate
Ability to work morning and/or mid-day shifts
Strong knife skills and understanding of kitchen prep systems
Ability to follow recipes, maintain consistency, and work clean
Able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods
Preferred (Not Required)
Experience in a fusion or Latin-inspired kitchen
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Familiarity with Oaxacan ingredients (chiles, moles, quesillo, masa, etc.)
