Position Summary
We're looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined individual to help maintain equipment and facilities at our egg production farm. This hands-on role supports daily farm operations by performing routine and preventive maintenance, operating equipment, and helping keep barns running safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform general maintenance on farm equipment and barn systems 

Inspect and maintain feed, egg collection, and conveyor systems 

Operate and monitor manure handling equipment 

Assist with basic repairs and preventative maintenance 

Help maintain ventilation, water, lighting, and other barn equipment 

Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment (training provided as needed) 

Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe 

Report equipment issues, maintenance needs, or safety concerns 

Complete maintenance records and follow safety, lockout/tagout, and biosecurity procedures 

Perform other general maintenance and farm duties as assigned 

Qualifications:

Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn 

Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or with a team 

Able to follow instructions and safety procedures 

Comfortable working in a physically active farm environment around livestock 

Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the workday 

Previous maintenance, farm, or equipment experience is preferred but not required

Estamos buscando una persona responsable, confiable y con aptitud mecanica para ayudar con el mantenimiento de los equipos e instalaciones de nuestra granja de produccion de huevos. En este puesto practico, apoyara las operaciones diarias de la granja realizando mantenimiento preventivo y de rutina, operando equipos y ayudando a mantener los gallineros funcionando de manera segura y eficiente.

Responsabilidades principales:

Realizar mantenimiento general de los equipos de la granja y de los sistemas de los gallineros 

Inspeccionar y dar mantenimiento a los sistemas de alimentacion, recoleccion de huevos y cintas transportadoras.

Operar y supervisar los equipos para el manejo del estiercol.

Ayudar con reparaciones basicas y mantenimiento preventivo.

Dar mantenimiento a los sistemas de ventilacion, agua, iluminacion y otros equipos de las naves.

Operar de manera segura montacargas, transpaletas (patines hidraulicos) y otros equipos (se proporcionara capacitacion cuando sea necesario).

Mantener las areas de trabajo limpias, organizadas y seguras.

Informar cualquier problema con los equipos, necesidades de mantenimiento o riesgos de seguridad.

Completar los registros de mantenimiento y seguir los procedimientos de seguridad, bloqueo y etiquetado (Lockout/Tagout) y bioseguridad.

Realizar otras tareas generales de mantenimiento y de la granja segun se le asignen.

Requisitos:

Aptitud mecanica y disposicion para aprender.

Ser una persona confiable, con iniciativa y capaz de trabajar de forma independiente o en equipo.

Capacidad para seguir instrucciones y procedimientos de seguridad.

Sentirse comodo(a) trabajando en un entorno agricola fisicamente activo y alrededor de animales de granja.

Capacidad para levantar hasta 50 libras y permanecer de pie, caminar, agacharse y subir escaleras durante la jornada laboral.

Se prefiere experiencia previa en mantenimiento, trabajo agricola o manejo de equipos, pero no es un requisito.
