POSITION TITLE: Permanent Substitute - EFQUALIFICATIONS: Substitute Certification REPORTS TO: Building PrincipalLOCATION: Eugene FieldGENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:The Permanent Substitute Teacher is responsible for providing classroom instruction in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment. This role includes delivering lesson plans, managing student behavior, assessing student progress, and supporting the educational goals of the school district. The substitute teacher will also collaborate with school staff, communicate effectively with students, and maintain a safe, respectful, and orderly environment.

Flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to adapt to various classroom settings are essential for success in this position. DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:Provide instruction based on lesson plans left by the regular teacher, ensuring continuity of learning.Maintain a positive, respectful, and productive classroom environment.Manage classroom behavior in accordance with school policies and procedures.Assess student progress and provide feedback to ensure understanding and support academic growth.Follow all school safety and emergency procedures.Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student success and the overall goals of the school.Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff as needed.Maintain accurate attendance records and document student performance.Adapt to various grade levels, subjects, and teaching styles as necessary.Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities when required.Uphold school district policies, procedures, and the educational mission of the district.Performs other duties as directed by supervisor TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 9 Month Employment Salary and work year to be established by the Board.Background clearance required; the results of which must be satisfactory to the District.
