Hours/Days: 6 hours per day / 4 days per week / 165 days per year

JOB SUMMARY
Assists teaching staff by performing instructional tasks with elementary students in large groups, small groups and one-on-one settings, record keeping, and supervision. Perform duties with moderate supervision
DUTIES

- Provide instructional support to students under the direction of the classroom teacher or special education teacher.
- Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce academic skills and classroom instruction.
- Assist with implementing lessons, learning activities, and classroom interventions.
- Support students in developing academic, social-emotional, behavioral, and organizational skills.
- Assist with classroom management and promote a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
- Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, recess, lunch, assemblies, field trips, and other assigned activities.
- Prepare instructional materials, classroom resources, and learning centers.
- Support students with the use of educational technology and classroom learning tools.
- Assist with student assessments, data collection, and progress monitoring as directed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as assigned.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with teachers, administrators, and specialists as directed.
- Maintain confidentiality of student information in accordance with district policies and state and federal regulations.
- Support students with accommodations and modifications as directed by licensed staff.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and required district training.
- Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and the school community.
- Maintain regular attendance, punctuality, and dependable work habits.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities related to the position as assigned by the supervising teacher or building administrator.
