Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Software Engineer I is responsible for maintaining and developing software applications. This position will also be responsible for problem solving, coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting through the application development process. This role requires technical expertise and gives you the opportunity to engineer systems and build reliable and secure services for healthcare.

ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS
  • Work in an agileenvironment
  • Contribute to success of project by completing daily scrumtasks.
  • Design, develop, test and release software changes and enhancements.
  • Maintain TDD to improve quality and supportCI/CD.
  • Work closely with QA to help build out automationtests.
  • Meet Allied's expectations for productivity, quality, and goalaccomplishment.
  • Work closely with managers to complete assignedtasks.
  • Adhere to, and apply all applicable privacy and security laws, including but not limited to HIPAA, HITECH and any regulations promulgated thereto.
  • Attend continuing education classes as required, including but not limited to HIPAAtraining.
  • Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, OR equivalent degree or equivalent work experience required.
EXPERIENCE ANDSKILLS
  • 2 to 4 years' experience developing software using Microsoft'splatform
  • Strong understanding of SOLID andOOP
  • Ability to collaborate well with teammembers
  • Understanding of SDLClifecycle
  • Extensive experience coding in C#, ASP.NET/MVC, Web APIs,WCF
  • Experience with SQL Server Development - creating and modifying storedprocedures
  • Excellent ability to debug and troubleshoot all areas of the technologystack
  • Experience maintaining RESTfulAPIs
  • Maintain high standards of data quality andintegrity
  • Excellent verbal and written communicationskills
  • Exposure to Agile DevelopmentMethodology
  • Familiarity with Azure or AWS cloud environments
  • Familiarity withJoget
  • Familiarity with legacy systems like VB6 and classicASP
