Contract Duration

  • Coaching contracts last for one school year, at which time they may be renewed by the building principal and/or athletic director.
  • Coaches are expected to perform their duties and schedule practices and contests in accordance with the best interests of the student-athletes and guidelines from relevant governing bodies.

Compensation

Supplemental contracts provide a percentage increase to the employee's base salary or a flat salary for non-employees. Contact the building principal or athletic director for more information.

Minimum Requirements

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Must pass a background check

Preferred

  • Be a current employee in good standing in the HCSD
  • Possess relevant experience in the sport

Other Requirements

  • Be able to learn and follow all applicable policies from all relevant governing bodies
  • Effectively and ethically carry out coaching duties assigned by the head coach
  • Establish and maintain high standards for academic achievement, attendance, and behavior for student-athletes
