Job description

Summary

In accordance with established standards, provides basic nursing care and assists in more complex care to patients under the direction of a licensed nurse. 

Minimum Qualifications

  1. High school graduate or equivalent.
  2. Completion of at least one of the following:
    1. Current enrollment or completion of a professional or practical nursing program or other health-related educational program focused on the delivery of direct patient care with at least three months of experience in an educational clinical setting delivering direct patient care.
    2. Completion of a Pennsylvania state approved Certified Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician educational training program.
    3. At least three months of experience in a clinical setting delivering direct patient care.
  3. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Current eligibility for certification as a nurse aide in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  2. A fundamental understanding of personal computers and familiarity with the Windows operating system.
