  • Collaborate with school leadership to support scheduling, staffing, and service delivery

  • Serve as a liaison with district and state agencies as needed

  • Support compliance audits, reporting, and recordkeeping

Who We’re Looking For

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

  • Believe every scholar deserves access to high-quality instruction and support

  • Have strong knowledge of special education law, compliance, and best practices

  • Communicate clearly and build trusting relationships with families and staff

  • Are organized, detail-oriented, and proactive

  • Balance advocacy for scholars with collaboration and systems thinking

  • Remain calm, solution-oriented, and student-centered in complex situations

Required Qualifications

Your experience has prepared you to lead special education services with excellence.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field

  • Valid state licensure in Special Education (or eligibility)

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in special education

  • Demonstrated knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and compliance requirements

  • Commitment to Movement Schools’ mission and values

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in leadership or charter environments is a plus.

  • Master’s degree in Special Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field

  • Experience serving as an EC Coordinator, Case Manager, or Special Education Lead

  • Experience in a charter or mission-driven school environment

  • Familiarity with inclusive and co-teaching models

Why You’ll Love Working at Movement

You’ll advocate for scholars while shaping systems that strengthen special education services.

  • Mission-driven work: Advocate for scholars and ensure equitable access to learning

  • Leadership impact: Shape systems that strengthen special education services

  • Collaborative culture: Partner with educators and families united by shared goals

  • Starting Salary: $70,000 (salary placement based on experience and role alignment)

  • Employment Type: Full-Time

  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package available for eligible employees
