Job Summary
The University of North Georgia's Social Foundations and Leadership Education Department is seeking applications for the position of Limited Term Faculty beginning August 2026. This is limited term position for academic year 2026-2027. Summer teaching is possible but not guaranteed.
Please be advised that any offer of employment is contingent upon your eligibility to work in the United States. The university is aware of recent federal changes that may significantly increase the cost of filing H-1B visa petitions.

Responsibilities
  • The faculty member is expected to teach specified courses, prepare course materials, provide support and guidance to students, maintain records pertinent to accreditation, and supervise students in completing field placements. Commitment to a collaborative curriculum development model is expected.
  • General faculty responsibilities in the department include the following:
  • Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses, depending on need and credentials, face-to-face, hybrid or online;
  • Supervise candidatesยฟ field and clinical experiences associated with specific program courses; and
  • Participate in program review, program assessment, and accreditation activities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of current national and state standards, as well as GaPSC program standards for Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Leadership or a related field.
  • Professional written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work collegially with other members of the faculty and utilize opportunities for cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Required Qualifications
  • Master's or Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Leadership, or a closely related field, with at least 18 doctoral level graduate credit hours in C&I, Educational Leadership, or closely related field, is required.
  • Expertise in academic field of Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
  • Evidence of effective and innovative teaching practices.
  • Experience in effective and engaging teaching in the fully online environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctorate in Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Leadership, or a closely related field, is preferred.
  • Experience teaching courses at the college level.
  • A record of scholarly activity.
