About the Role
As a Lead Teacher in our toddler and preschool classrooms, you are the primary caregiver and educator for your assigned group of children. You will plan and deliver developmentally appropriate curriculum, maintain a safe and engaging classroom environment, build warm relationships with families, and model the professionalism and care that defines our center.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
- Supervise and engage children throughout the day
- Monitor children’s behavior, progress, and developmental milestones
- Maintain daily schedules including meals, naps, learning activities, and outdoor play
- Ensure classroom cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding children’s progress and needs
- Mentor and support assistant teachers and classroom aides
- Maintain accurate attendance and classroom records
- Follow all state licensing regulations and center policies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- CDA, Associate’s Degree, or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Previous childcare or preschool teaching experience required
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively participate in classroom activities
- Passion for working with children and supporting their growth and development

- Experience with lesson planning and curriculum development
