Job Purpose:

The Marketing Data Analyst will build and maintain the data pipelines, integrations, and dashboards that support marketing performance and growth initiatives.  This role will work across multiple platforms (CRM, marketing automation, paid media, and web analytics) to pull, combine and structure data into usable reporting and insights which includes leveraging APIs, automating data workflows, and ensuring data accuracy across systems.  

In addition to building the data infrastructure, this role will monitor campaign performance, support testing efforts, and provide clear, data-driven insights to marketing and business stakeholders to help the organization understand what is working, where to optimize, and how to improve overall marketing effectiveness.  

Job Responsibilities: 

Data Integration and Pipeline Development

  • Build and maintain data pipelines that pull from platforms such as Salesforce, Marketo, Google Analytics, LinkedIn, and paid media channels
  • Implement API integrations and use scripting (Python, SQL, or similar) to automate data collection, transformation, and reporting
  • Combine multiple data sources into clean, reliable datasets for analysis and reporting
  • Monitor data quality and resolve discrepancies across systems

Dashboards and Performance Reporting

  • Develop and maintain dashboards that track marketing performance across channels
  • Ensure stakeholders have access to accurate, up-to-date reporting
  • Track and report on key metrics such as ROI, CPA, conversion rates, and campaign performance
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and performance gaps through ongoing monitoring

Insights and Business Support

  • Translate data into clear, actionable insights for marketing and business stakeholders
  • Partner with marketing team members to define reporting needs and success metrics
  • Deliver ad hoc analysis and data insights to support business decisions
  • Help standardize reporting and measurement practices

Testing and Optimization

  • Implement A/B and multivariate testing frameworks, including tracking and measurement
  • Analyze results and provide clear recommendations for optimization
  • Implement and contribute to a structured “test and learn” approach to improve performance over time

Education and Skills

  • Experience working with Python, SQL, or a similar language to pull, manipulate, and analyze data
  • Experience working with APIs and integrating data from marketing platforms (Google, LinkedIn, CRM systems such as Salesforce or Marketo)
  • Experience building and maintaining dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Looker Studio, or QuickSight
  • Strong understanding of marketing performance metrics (ROI, CPA, conversion rates, CTR)
  • Experience automating data pipelines and reporting workflows
  • Familiarity with A/B and multivariate testing and measurement
  • General understanding of digital marketing channels (SEO, SEM, paid media, email)
  • Minimum 3 years experience in marketing analytics, data analytics, or related field.
