Job description

Take the next step in your School Psychologist career with a fulfilling contract position supporting K-12 students across multiple school sites near Baton Rouge, LA. This role focuses on discipline requests and involves working within a dedicated multidisciplinary team to provide critical psychoeducational services. You'll play a key role in ensuring students receive the guidance and support they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive educational assessments to identify student needs and provide timely, detailed written reports.
  • Offer information, resources, and referral services to students and their families.
  • Collaborate with school personnel, parents, and other professionals to design and implement effective student support and intervention strategies.
  • Clearly communicate assessment findings and recommendations to parents, educators, and school teams.
  • Accurately maintain case records, reports, and necessary documentation.
  • Facilitate interpretation of assessment data and contribute to the development of appropriate intervention plans.
  • Participate in in-service training sessions and explain assessment protocols to stakeholders as needed.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • NASP certification or LSSP from the Louisiana State Board of Examiners and Psychologists.
