Job description

Front End Application Developer
Location: Suitland, MD
Clearance: Active TS/SCI
Leidos is hiring a Front End Application Developer to support the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) onsite at the National Maritime Intelligence Center in Suitland, MD. In this role, you'll be supporting the ONI Technology and Innovation Directorate, Information Management Division mission areas including the architecture for ONI's tradecraft, production and dissemination environment.
You will provide support to help our Navy customer with a new enterprise Production and Dissemination system, which includes the migration of backend systems into a new modern environment as well as the development/customization of a new enterprise-wide web interface/application. Your daily activities will directly impact real-world operations and assist in disseminating maritime intelligence in the right product line to the appropriate customers and allies.
This posting is for multiple opportunities ranging in years of experience. Level of opportunity, including compensation, will be matched to a candidate's experience.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Serve as subject matter expert on software development and web design framework.
  • Provide support for advanced workflow trouble shooting and support the organization new workflows to support the dissemination of future products in the new production tool.
  • Provide front-end site page customization support for a new production tool, to which will conform to the customer branding.
  • Provide data analytic support as applicable. Communicate effectively with other departments, stakeholders, and other customers with any outstanding or ongoing connectivity, application, or other systems issues.
  • Provide detailed documentation and guides to senior officials from multiple departments.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 4+ or 8+ years of relevant work experience or a Master's degree with 2+ or 6+ years of relevant work experience. Additional related work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Active DoD Top Secret/SCI.
  • IAT Level II or Higher certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+) or the ability to obtain within 30 days from date of offer of acceptance.
  • Front-End Web Development experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in scripting with JavaScript, Angular, Perl, NodeJS and/or Python.
  • Experience in web framework languages such as JSON.
  • Expertise of web design and user interface modules
  • Ability to communicate effectively with developers and translate that understanding into effective technical writing for non-technical end users.
  • Experience in preparation of standard operating procedures.
  • Travel: Up to 10% to Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB).
