Job description

Description
Assist teachers with activities to include Career Exploration endeavors, completing their homework assignments, ensuring comprehension and accuracy, and monitor students during snack time.
Assist teachers with small group session covering the various subjects and career exploration topics, tailoring instruction to meet individual student needs
Collaborate with PD, teachers, and team to provide ideas and implement educational activities that promote learning and encourage student engagement. Participate in scheduled meetings prior to students arrival.
Foster a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment for students, promoting their academic growth and personal development. Supervise and monitor students during program hours, ensuring their safety and well-being while implementing positive behavioral interventions, as needed.
Collaborate with the PD, teachers, and other staff members to create and maintain a structured daily schedule.
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and any concerns or issues that may arise (in writing and/or verbally).
Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions as required. Assist with program administrative tasks, such as maintaining attendance records and preparing program materials (documenting in Efforts To Outcomes data system (ETO).
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in education or related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of various subjects and ability to provide academic support in math, science, English, and other core subjects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate well to students, parents, and staff members.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Ability to create and implement engaging educational activities that align with program goals and objectives.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Scheduled Shift 2:30 pm-6:30 pm M-Th, Occasional Fridays 10 am- 12 pm
