Job description

Salary: $38,364.00 - $69,012.00 (commensurate with experience)

Alabama Public Television (APT) is seeking a qualified Education Training Specialist to support the initiatives of its Education Division. This position is responsible for collaborating with internal teams to design, develop, and deliver high-quality professional development, instructional resources, and technical assistance to educators across the state. This position will also work closely with community partners and stakeholders to coordinate and implement educational outreach programs and services.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver on-site and virtual professional development for educators
  • Create and maintain instructional materials and educational resources
  • Provide technical assistance and ongoing support to program participants
  • Collaborate with community partners to plan and facilitate outreach initiatives
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of educational programs and events
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to training and outreach activities


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university
  • Two (2) years of professional experience in the development, administration, and evaluation of employeetraining programs.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Elementary Education, Middle School Education, Secondary Education, or a closely related field
  • Demonstrated experience in developing educational or instructional materials
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in computer applications and instructional technology


Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to travel within the state of Alabama as needed
  • Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends
  • Ability to lift and transport training materials

  • Possession of a valid Alabama drivers license
