Job description

Bring your expertise in special education to an impactful contract opportunity supporting students across multiple grade levels near Westland, MI. Three passionate Special Education Teachers are needed to cover Early Learning Elementary, Middle School, and High School caseloads, making a difference for learners with unique needs for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year.

This full-time role begins August 31, 2026, and runs through June 4, 2027, in a vibrant school community. You'll collaborate closely with staff, families, and support personnel to deliver individualized, student-centered instruction in a welcoming, inclusive environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Michigan teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement (required; please include with your application)
  • Experience teaching students with diverse disabilities and learning profiles
  • Ability to create, implement, and document IEPs and progress reports efficiently
  • Knowledge of research-based strategies and supports for K-12 students
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to adapt approaches for elementary, middle, or high school grade bands
