ONTARIO WORKS ADMIN/EMPLOYMENT SUPPORT WORKER


JOB TYPE: FULL-TIME – PERMANENT

WAGE: $20.00 - $22.00

DEADLINE: OPEN UNTIL FILLED


Eagle Lake First Nation is seeking an Ontario Works Admin / Employment Support Worker to support the delivery of employment assistance services under the Ontario Works program.


Reporting to the Ontario Works Administrator, this position provides job readiness support, client case management, referrals, and administrative support to help Ontario Works participants overcome barriers, access training or employment opportunities, and work toward greater independence.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Meet with clients to assess employment needs and barriers.
  • Develop and monitor participation agreements and action plans.
  • Support clients with resumes, interviews, job searches, training referrals, and employment goals.
  • Assist with workshops, job readiness activities, and community employment events.
  • Maintain client files, case notes, records, and program documentation.
  • Track program statistics and assist with monthly reports.
  • Provide administrative support, including filing, photocopying, scanning, scheduling, ordering supplies, and maintaining program materials.
  • Liaise with employers, training providers, community programs, and service agencies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS


  • Grade 12 Diploma required.
  • Post-secondary education in Social Services, Employment Counselling, Human Services, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in employment counselling, case management, administration, or social services is an asset.
  • Experience working with First Nation or Indigenous communities is an asset.
  • Strong communication, organization, computer, and client service skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitivity and professionalism.


REQUIREMENTS


  • Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check required.
