Birth to 3 Years Old Speech Language Pathologist - Douglas Education Service District 
 

This program runs year-round and will require work hours during the summer 5 days per week for 5 weeks.


Douglas Education Service District is accepting applications for a Speech Language Pathologist for our Early Intervention department - helping children from birth to three years old. This position serves the schools of Douglas County, and the location of this position can be subject to change.
190 days, 5 days per week, 8 hours per dayin the 2026-27 school year.  PLUS an additional 25 extra paid days during the summer.
SALARY: $63,333 - $89,195 per year dependent upon relevant verifiable experience
                ($333.33- $469.45 per day or $41.67 - $58.68 per hour)

JOB SUMMARY:  Provide comprehensive assessment, therapy, and consultation services in the area of communication disorders.
DUTIES:  This is not an exhaustive or all-inclusive list of responsibilities, skills, duties or functions associated with the job. Full job description is attached in Applicant Tracking.  













  • Analyzes the effectiveness, appropriateness, and usefulness of strategies and practices used with students, parents, and staff.
  • Participates as a member of a team (IEP/IFSP, Placement, etc.) and assumes appropriate roles; leads, follows, and supports others in a productive manner.
  • Assesses students' levels of functioning and their therapy needs.
  • Participates in development of IEP/IFSP for each eligible student.
  • Collects, records, evaluates therapy data.
  • Designs, implements, and supervises delivery of instructional programs to meet IEP/IFSP goals.
  • Effectively manages student behavior.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Requires a valid SLP license from the Oregon Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology prior to the first day of employment, OR a Teachers Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) license that has an endorsement for either communication disorders or speech impairment.
