Job description

Position Summary 

The Education Analyst supports the Early Childhood Education program by managing teacher and child assessment data systems, producing education reports, and assisting with school readiness goals and state/federal reporting requirements. This role works closely with education leadership and site staff to collect, analyze, and maintain data related to child outcomes, classroom quality, and program performance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and passionate about supporting children and families through data-driven practices, collaboration, and continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

  • AA in Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics or related area, BA/BS preferred
  • 2 years of experience as a data analyst or database manager in an education setting
  • Criminal record clearance and health requirements that include TB screen and other required health clearances
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, databases and other computer programs
  • Experience working with children and families with diverse cultural, linguistic, and economic backgrounds
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Valid California Driver’s License/proof of auto insurance/annual DMV check required 
Specific Essential Function from the Job Description for this role
 
  1. Maintain systems for Teacher data collection/observation/assessment, i.e., Learning Genie/DRDP Tech
  2. Participate in development of annual School Readiness Goals.
  3. Assist Education Manager in writing state and federal reports.
  4. Produce child outcomes reports three times per year.
  5. Produce any relevant education related reports, such as Summary of Findings for Fall and Spring DRDP Assessments
  6. Facilitate and participate in presentations and trainings.
  7. Collect and aggregate on-going CLASS, ERS and other Education data. 
  8. Assist the Education Manager in coordinating and delivering professional development for staff related to education data.
  9. Develop and revise Education forms and maintain detailed records and reports as needed.
  10. Work collaboratively with other staff and service providers.
  11. Special projects and other duties as assigned

  • Sufficient strength, agility and mobility to perform essential functions and to supervise program activities in a wide variety of indoor and outdoor locations
  • Must be able to work on a computer for an extended period of time
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Must be able to travel locally for meetings, training and special events
