Job description

The Education Coordinator provides administrative, educational, enrollment, and logistical support for up to 70 medical students completing their clinical experience during 3rd and 4th year on the Huntsville Regional Campus. Serves as program and event planner for various student services events. Interacts with physicians and their office staff as well as with various offices with the medical school that support the medical education mission.
To coordinate the activities and operations for the educational program(s) of a specific student group (e.g. medical students, residency programs, fellowship programs). To maintain records, schedules and program information. To perform general program related duties for incoming, continuing and outgoing clerkships, residents, medical students or fellows.
Duties and Responsibilities :
  • Maintains program and trainee databases.
  • Disseminates information related to educational programs, meetings, schedules and orientation to trainees through web sites and electronic or written communication.
  • Coordinates program lectures, retreats, conferences and meetings and documents trainee and faculty attendance.
  • Plans special events such as orientation, graduation, guest speakers/lecturers, and other formal didactic events.
  • Works with Enrollment Management and the Huntsville MSS Director and/or Registrar to create an annual rotation schedule and any monthly changes.
  • Maintains extensive on-going documentation for accreditation reports, accreditation site visits, trainee recruitment and trainee orientation.
  • Provides office support as needed for faculty program directors, education administrator and trainees
  • Distributes, collects and inputs trainee and faculty evaluations.
  • Proctors and administers exams.
  • Calculates records and submits grades.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Salary Range: $19.80 - $25.75
LOCATED ONSITE IN HUNTSVILLE, ALABAMA.
Qualifications
Associate's degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.
Preferred:
  • Hard Skills: Academic student services or resident support experience preferred.
  • Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, ability to multitask and prioritize, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
