KMM Group is looking for a CNC Machinist Trainee to join our precision manufacturing team in Hatboro, PA,
This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who wants to build a real career in manufacturing. You do not need years of machining experience. You do need mechanical aptitude, reliability, attention to detail, and the willingness to learn how precision parts are made for industries where the work truly matters.
At KMM, our team supports mission-critical components for medical device, aerospace, defense, space exploration, and high-tech manufacturing. The parts moving through our shop may support surgical tools, life-saving equipment, space manufacturing, aircraft, and advanced technology. This is hands-on work with a future attached to it.
What You'll Do
As a CNC Machinist Trainee, you will support production, finishing, cleaning, material movement, and shop operations while learning the fundamentals of precision manufacturing.
Responsibilities include:
  • Assist with production jobs in various manufacturing work centers
  • Support CNC machining, grinding, EDM, guidewire, finishing, and inspection areas as needed
  • Deburr, clean, and finish precision parts to customer specifications
  • Use hand tools and specialty finishing equipment
  • Run automated passivation line and part washing systems
  • Load and catch parts for thru-feed grinding operations
  • Cut, radius, and press guidewires as needed
  • Stage jobs, materials, tooling, and parts to support production flow
  • Deliver and pick up parts and materials internally and externally using forklifts and company vehicles
  • Assist production, maintenance, and quality teams with daily shop needs
  • Help with coolant tank cleanouts and general shop organization
  • Follow safety, quality, and documentation requirements in an ISO/ITAR manufacturing environment

This role is a strong fit for someone who is dependable, curious, hands-on, and ready to learn.
Preferred Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Entry-level manufacturing, machine shop, warehouse, mechanical, automotive, maintenance, or trade school experience helpful
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools, equipment, and small parts
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn CNC machining, precision grinding, EDM, quality inspection, and production machining processes
  • Ability to stand, move, lift, clean, stage, and support hands-on production work
  • Forklift experience preferred, or willingness to be trained
  • Commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and lift throughout the workday
  • Ability to frequently handle small parts and use hand tools
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds frequently
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment, including forklifts (training provided)
  • Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment and wear required PPE
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks requiring manual dexterity, visual acuity, and attention to detail
ITAR Requirement
KMM is an ITAR-registered facility. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or have a valid Green Card.
