Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

Join BakerRipley's Volunteer Services and Marketing team and gain hands-on experience supporting volunteer engagement, marketing initiatives, and department operations. The Volunteer Services & Marketing Intern will assist with graphic design projects, social media content, volunteer database management, volunteer communications, and administrative support. This position requires flexibility, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to support both creative and operational projects. This internship is ideal for someone interested in nonprofit marketing, volunteer engagement, graphic design, and community impact while gaining practical experience in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create social media content, graphics, and marketing materials using Canva
  • Manage volunteer records within the Volunteer Management System
  • Upload volunteer opportunities, posts, and announcements
  • Respond to volunteer inquiries and assist with managing the volunteer Facebook group
  • Support administrative projects, data entry, filing, and reporting
  • Assist with event preparation and volunteer engagement activities
  • Organize marketing materials, supplies, and storage areas, including the storage areas
  • Other duties as assigned

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Schedule: Part-Time, 24 hours per week
  • Duration: 6-month Internship

EDUCATION

Current college student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Business, Nonprofit Management, or related field

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience using Canva is required
  • Social media experience preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Comfortable balancing creative projects with administrative responsibilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment

LANGUAGES

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
