About The Role
Our Corporate Positioning and Insights practice seeks a talented, versatile Video Editor & Motion Graphics Designer with 1+ years of experience to join the team in our New York or Chicago office. We're looking for a visual storyteller who combines strong editing skills with motion graphics expertise to create compelling content across digital, social, web, and presentation platforms. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing ideas to life through thoughtful editing, animation, and storytelling while working across a variety of clients and industries. You'll collaborate with creative directors, content strategists, designers, and digital teams to produce polished, high-quality video content that helps leading brands communicate complex ideas in engaging ways. What You'll Do
  • Edit short- and long-form video content for digital, social media, websites, presentations, and integrated marketing campaigns
  • Create engaging 2D motion graphics, animated typography, title sequences, lower thirds, infographics, and explainer videos using Adobe After Effects
  • Edit interviews, testimonials, event recaps, sizzle reels, and thought leadership content using live-action footage, licensed assets, and existing brand materials
  • Adapt video content into multiple formats and aspect ratios for LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, paid media, websites, and presentations
  • Perform basic color correction, audio cleanup, captioning, and quality control to ensure polished final deliverables
  • Collaborate with creative directors, content strategists, designers, and project teams to translate concepts into compelling visual stories
  • Organize footage, project files, and media libraries while maintaining efficient production workflows
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing competing priorities while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail
  • Stay current on editing techniques, motion design trends, and AI-powered creative tools that improve workflow and production quality

What You Will Need To Succeed
Basic Qualifications
  • 1+ years of professional experience in video editing, motion graphics, post-production, or a related creative field
  • Strong portfolio or demo reel showcasing video editing, motion graphics, and visual storytelling across a variety of formats
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects
  • Experience editing live-action footage and creating original motion graphics for digital, social, and marketing content
  • Working knowledge of color correction, audio editing, captioning, export settings, and video delivery best practices
  • Understanding of storytelling, pacing, typography, animation principles, composition, and visual hierarchy
  • Experience preparing content for multiple digital platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and paid media
  • Familiarity with AI-powered creative tools and emerging post-production technologies that enhance editing and production workflows
  • Understanding of video production workflows, camera formats, codecs, and digital asset management
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and incorporate feedback from cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Film, Video Production, Motion Design, Animation, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience working in an agency or fast-paced client-service environment a plus
  • Ability to travel to clients and to FTI office(s) as needed

Compensation
Minimum Pay: $67,000
Maximum Pay: $84,000
Compensation Disclosure: The compensation range reflects potential base salary for the role. Actual compensation is determined based on a wide array of relevant factors including market considerations, business needs, and an individual's location, skills, level of experience, and qualifications.
