Job description

We are SLR Consulting (US), a 500+ coast-to-coast team of advisory, environmental/engineering, and regulatory professionals. We deliver environmental and sustainability services to our clients through the integration of over 30 advisory, technical environmental, and engineering disciplines to help clients address some of their most complex challenges around sustainability. As our newProposal Coordinator, you will play an important role on a team whose work is essential to achieving this goal.
Role
We are seeking a Proposal Coordinator who is comfortable collaborating with diverse teams in a fast-paced environment to address ongoing proposal opportunities and/or Request for Proposals (RFPs). This response supports ongoing strategic procurement from our Sector leads and Business Unit Directors. This role engages and leads the assembly, scheduling, messaging and delivery of proposals along with designated Technical Leads.
Responsibilities:
  • Support the preparation of proposals and interview materials.
  • Supporting preparations technical presentations as requested.
  • Organized and Detail Oriented.
  • Reinforce brand guidelines.
  • Assist in maintaining marketing databases and project descriptions.
  • Maintain open lines of communication and respond promptly to all inquiries.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with technical staff to support proposal efforts.
  • Performs QA/QC review of proposal and interview materials.
  • Provide backup support to the Proposal Manager relative to RFQ/RFP opportunities.
  • Perform market research on industry trends as requested.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Education/Memberships:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field. Experience may be substituted for education.
  • 1 - 3 years' proposal or marketing experience.
  • Excellent writing, proofreading, editing, and production skills.
  • Ability to pick up new procedures and put them into practice.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with a good understanding of the time critical nature of proposals and other marketing tasks.
  • Excellent writing, proofreading, editing, and document production skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to interact professionally and productively with staff of all levels, including firm leadership.

Preferred
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat).
  • Experience with SharePoint.
  • Experience in the proposal process.
  • Comfortable interfacing with employees, clients, and vendors throughout all levels of the organization.
