Marketing Assistant
Job Description
Varnum LLP is seeking a full-time Marketing Assistant in the Grand Rapids office. This individual will provide administrative and daily workflow support to the Marketing and Business Development Team. Includes assistance with the firm's CRM, website, marketing materials, client initiatives, sponsorships, and ad hoc administrative support.
This is a multi-faceted role that is suited for a flexible, customer service-oriented marketing professional with strong attention to detail and superior organizational skills. The ideal candidate will be curious, self-motivated and resourceful, with the ability to prioritize and problem solve. Experience with CRM software and/or list management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and track sponsorship and speaking engagement details and benefits.
  • Create and update attorney and professional staff profiles on the firm's website.
  • Manage mailing lists and client contact information in the firm's customer relationship management (CRM) platform.
  • Work with the accounting department to process marketing invoices and credit card payments.
  • Provide proofreading and editing support for marketing content and materials.
  • Provide a wide range of administrative support to the Marketing and Business Development Team.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 1+ years marketing experience; law firm or other professional services preferred.
  • Comfort with high standards of service and responsiveness in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Experience with website content management platforms; experience with WordPress preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for various internal and external audiences.
  • Strong organization, proofreading, and editing skills with exceptional attention to detail.
