About This Role
Textron Systems in Wilmington, MA is looking for a dedicated Program Master Scheduler to develop and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for programs in our Weapons Systems business segment.  As a Principal Program Master Scheduler, you will work cross-functionally with Program Management, Engineering, Supply Chain and Operations to develop, manage and report on Engineering Development and Production schedules. In this role you'll also provide and develop scheduling best practices in Earned Value Management.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Integrated Master Plan/Schedule compliant to the DIDs, PASEG, GASP and WBS Standard. Assist in the development of program baselines, including assigning resources within work-breakdown-structures, assigning earned value methods, and verification of contract budget baseline. 
  • In depth knowledge of Organization, Planning, Scheduling & Budgeting and Analysis & Management Reports for EVM SSP guidelines and rules 
  • Hold meetings with PMs, CAMs and WPMs to obtain monthly accomplishments and future requirements.
  • Establish logic, predecessors and successors, to develop an accurate critical path for a program.
  • Develop, update, and maintain schedule performance metrics, related processes and management tools within the business units, including, but not limited to, critical path analysis and schedule risk assessment.
  • Advises the Program Manager and Control Account Managers on schedule performance, forecasts and risks.
  • Ensure integration and synchronization of cost and schedule EVM data. 
  • Support Earned Value Management (EVM) process reviews.

Qualifications:

  • 10 years' experience in scheduling within an engineering development and/or manufacturing operation, or other similar experience.
  • Demonstrated success in planning, developing, baselining and tracking schedules for commercial and DoD programs.
  • Familiar with Schedule management within the Primavera P6 scheduling tool, or Microsoft Project, or Deltek OpenPlan. 
  • Proven working knowledge and understanding of advanced scheduling methodologies and techniques.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Industrial Engineering, or other related field is preferred.
  • Experience with implementing, tracking and reporting schedule performance/Earned Value.
  • Ability to derive, interpret and present schedule performance and efficiency metrics to Senior Leadership team (e.g. schedule variance, SPI, milestone burndown, plan vs actual, etc.)
  • Ability to develop and report on Schedule Risk Analyses (SRA).
  • Experience with supporting development of Integrated Master Plans (IMP) and transitioning these into Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills & ability to interface effectively and efficiently across the organization.
  • Familiarity with schedules in an MRP/ERP environment (i.e. SAP, Oracle, MAPICS, BAAN, etc.).
  • Possesses or has ability to obtain a Secret level security clearance
