Ensuring both sides understand project timelines, technical requirements, and legal obligations requires strong project management and interpersonal skills. Other responsibilities include serving as a liaison between clients and firms and retrieving documents valuable to a case.

To thrive as an Ediscovery Project Manager, you need a solid understanding of the eDiscovery process, project management principles, and experience with legal or litigation support, often supported by a bachelor's degree and relevant certifications like PMP or CEDS. Familiarity with eDiscovery platforms such as Relativity, Concordance, or Logikcull, and knowledge of data processing and review tools are typically required. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are critical soft skills for managing complex projects and collaborating with legal teams. These skills and qualifications are essential to ensure legal compliance, efficient workflow, and high-quality deliverables in fast-paced, high-stakes legal environments.
