Job Title: Business ANalyst / EDI Functional Analyst
Location: Dallas, TX
Job Type: Independent Contract (Contractor / Non-Employee)
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: $55-60/hr 1099 / C2C
Contract Length: 12+ Months
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements related to EDI processes and integrations.
  • Act as the liaison between business users, trading partners, and technical development teams.
  • Analyze, map, and validate EDI transaction sets including X12 standards.
  • Coordinate onboarding of new trading partners and support EDI implementation projects.
  • Work with integration teams to define functional specifications and data mapping requirements.
  • Monitor EDI transactions, identify issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate resolutions.
  • Support testing activities including system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and regression testing.
  • Ensure compliance with EDI standards and industry best practices.
  • Prepare functional documentation, process flows, mapping specifications, and user guides.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve business processes and optimize EDI workflows.

Qualifications
Required Skills
  • 10+ years of Business Analysis experience with strong focus on EDI implementations.
  • Experience with EDI mapping and integration platforms.
  • Strong understanding of EDI communication protocols including AS2, SFTP, FTP, and VAN.
  • Experience creating Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), user stories, and process workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL for data validation and analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
