Job description

OVERVIEW

This position is part of a core business and IS team responsible for the overall support of the TM (Transportation Management) system. This includes providing critical support for user issues including root cause analysis, recommendations for configuration enhancement, executing test plans, and systems clean ups and audits. This candidate should have strong desire to learn, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a continuous improvement mindset. Looking ahead, this candidate may have the opportunity to play an important role in the S4 TM upgrade discovery, testing, and integration.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  • Provide critical first-class support and service to our business partners and proactively work to improve overall environment stability
  • Support day-to-day operations & adhere to established SLA timelines
  • Resolve business issues that occur by working with users and transportation business resources.
  • Recognize criticality and impact across logistics of reported incident – identify if broad communication may be needed of issue reported
  • Collaborate with multiple groups including the broader Transportation team (Operations, Procurement, Freight Settlement), Customer Fulfillment, EDI, Direct Materials, and D&T teams
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities to maximize Supply Chain performance and reduce costs.
  • Take Initiative to utilize existing documentation to triage incidents independently first
  • Create and maintain documentation for processes to ensure up to date information
  • Completes system testing by defined due dates. Document test scenario results and define required changes. Retests once changes have been made to assure functionality is operational.
  • Assists in developing and validating transportation systems training materials.
  • Responsible for power user and carrier partner training and development.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous system experience/aptitude – SAP ERP, SAP TMS or similar systems
  • Previous transportation experience/aptitude preferred
  • Interest in emerging technology (AI, automation, etc)

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Problem-solver with a focus on root cause analysis and sustainable solutions
  • Strong Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals
  • Analyze complex data and situations to identify root causes and develop effective long-term solutions
  • Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Articulate technical and business concepts in an understandable and engaging manner
  • Rapidly assimilate new information and understand existing processes to contribute quickly and effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable in a dynamic work setting

  • International relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered.

Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $56700.00 - $78100.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
