Position Summary

As an entry-level Supply Chain Analyst, this position will support forecasting and coordination of materials and production schedules to ensure efficient operations. The role involves demand forecasting, inventory management, data analysis, and collaboration with Customer Service, Supply Chain, external customers, and other departments to support smooth production processes, improve electronic communication, and contribute to the Order to Cash process in a LEAN environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.  This position does not have direct reports.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Forecast Management:Receive, review, and analyze customer forecasts to identify demand trends, risks, requirement changes, and forecast variability. Work directly with customers and internal teams to improve forecast accuracy, align supply plans, and communicate demand changes across the organization.

  • S&OP Support:Participate in the Sales & Operations Planning process for assigned sites by aligning customer demand, production capacity, material availability, inventory strategies, service goals, cost objectives, and operational requirements.

  • Production, Material & Supply Planning:Partner with production sites to support the smooth flow of materials, timely communication of demand changes, and alignment of supply plans with manufacturing schedules and customer requirements. Evaluate material availability, initiate work orders or purchase requests as needed, and coordinate material movements to support customer demand, production schedules, inventory targets, and supply continuity.

  • Inventory & Demand Analysis:Analyze inventory usage, forecast consumption, scrap, excess, and obsolescence. Recommend actions to optimize inventory levels, improve turnover, reduce waste, and maintain customer service levels.

  • Status Reporting & Risk Communication:Provide management with updates on demand, supply risks, material constraints, work-in-progress, potential production issues, and recommended actions to improve planning effectiveness and reduce disruptions.

  • Problem Resolution:Work with management and cross-functional teams to resolve shortages, over shipments, forecast variability, engineering changes, order cancellations, and other customer service or supply chain disruptions.

  • Cross-Functional Coordination:Collaborate with Customer Service, Supply Chain, IT, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Materials Management, Shipping, Contract Administration, external customers, and other departments to ensure effective communication, material flow, and execution of customer requirements.

  • New Product Introduction Support:Support new product introductions by coordinating material readiness, validating supply chain capacity, and assisting with ramp-up plans to ensure successful launches and uninterrupted customer support.

  • Configuration & Data Management:Maintain accurate planning parameters, open order status, customer information, and relevant system data in accordance with division policies to support effective forecasting, scheduling, customer service, and execution.

  • EDI & Electronic Communication Support:Support Electronic Data Interchange projects to ensure seamless and efficient electronic communication between the organization and its customers or partners, including training for the Customer Service team.

  • MyParker/PHconnect Administration:Support MyParker and PHconnect administration and training for internal and external users to ensure effective use of customer-facing tools.

  • Customer Service Automation & System Support:Maintain Conexiom and Salesforce robotic process automation tools and stay current on Customer Service and Supply Chain trends to identify opportunities to automate workflows, improve order processing efficiency, reduce manual effort, and support continuous improvement within the Customer Service team.

  • Customer Service Reporting & System Maintenance:Run daily reports for the Customer Service team, including price variances, duplicate orders, special charge locations, and other key order management items. Review report findings, communicate issues as needed, and keep related systems and data updated to support accurate and efficient customer service processes.

  • Continuous Improvement:Proactively review processes and apply continuous improvement methods to strengthen planning processes, improve forecast-to-supply alignment, enhance customer service workflows, reduce costs, improve project efficiency, and enhance overall customer service and supply chain performance.

  • Professional Development & Team Contribution:Stay current on customer service and supply chain best practices, share knowledge across the organization, mentor team members, and contribute to cross-functional initiatives that improve planning, customer service, and operational performance.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field required.
  • Experience: 0-2 years of previous internship experience or coursework related to supply chain, inventory management, or production planning required.
  • US Citizenship or US Permanent Resident status required. 
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and basic knowledge of ERP systems is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: Interest in pursuing certifications such as APICS Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) or similar is a plus.
  • Industry Exposure: Experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment, even if through internships or projects.

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range:  70890 to 117300 annually
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
