Job description

Job Purpose


Work with the logistics team and cross-functional leads to gather and analyze business requirements to support and configure SAP Warehouse Management/Extended Warehouse Management (WM/EWM). Serve as a subject matter expert in problem identification and problem solving, working with technical developers to design technical solutions.


Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions within SAP system
  • Functionally design RF transactions including integration areas of transportation management like transportation units and freight orders
  • Participate in all phases of SAP ECC or S/4 Hana projects
  • Deliver and support EDI integration with 3PLs especially on EDI 943, 944, 940 and 945, CHEP, and PECO
  • Conduct thorough testing of developed solutions to ensure functionality, integrity, and compliance with technical specifications
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for SAP system, resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of SAP development activities with overall business objectives and priorities
  • Conduct training to subject matter experts and end users
  • Travel to different sites for requirement gathering, training, and go live support
  • Stay updated on the latest functionalities of newer SAP versions, emerging SAP technologies, trends within the logistics space, and industry best practices, continuously enhancing skills and knowledge
  • Support food safety program, quality standards, and legality of manufactured products
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned


Qualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)

  • Associate’s degree or higher in computer science or related field preferred
  • 8-10 years of hands-on experience in the SAP WM and EWM enterprise area in medium and large-scale implementations
  • Ability to work in both SAP WM in ECC and EWM in S/4 Hana; experience in WM and EWM environment in a process manufacturing industry preferred
  • Ability to understand the business processes WM/EWM, dock appointment scheduling, and integration with transportation
  • Knowledge of ECC shipments, shipment cost documents, and Idoc management desired
  • Experience in key SAP WM functionalities like Inbound Process, Outbound Process, Internal Warehouse Processes, Posting Changes, Transfer Requirements, Transfer Orders, and WMPP staging
  • Experience in key SAP EWM functionalities like Inbound Process, Outbound Process, Internal Process, VAS, Quality Inspections, Wave Management, Physical Inventory, Posting Changes, and Production Material Requests
  • Strong understanding of other SAP modules and integration touch points with WM/EWM
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide innovative solutions
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Proactive attitude toward learning and self-improvement with a commitment to staying updated on emerging SAP technologies and trends within the logistics space
  • Experience working on large, full lifecycle SAP implementation projects and enterprise-scale projects with diverse project teams
  • Experience with at least two full cycle implementations in SAP
  • Ability to organize, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high diligence in a demanding environment
  • Initiative-taking, goal oriented, quality driven, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
