Job Summary:
The Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for driving revenue growth through proactive engagement with new and transactional customers, including lead source accounts and reseller partners. This role focuses on accounts not managed by the outside Technical Sales Representatives. The Inside Sales Specialist will onboard new customers, manage a portfolio of transactional accounts, and grow their base business through strategic inside sales activities. Success in this role requires a strong sales mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced technical distribution environment.
*Earn competitive commission as part of our inside sales team, with average payouts of $5,000-$10,000. Commissions are paid quarterly, rewarding your performance and contributions to revenue growth. High performers show strong potential to grow into outside sales roles, making them ideal candidates for new sales opportunities.
Job Responsibilities:
• Proactively nurture customer accounts with a curious approach in search of the next new sales opportunity.
• Identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities within accounts.
• Manage and grow transactional accounts and reseller business.
• Drive daily inside sales activities to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
• Build strong relationships through professional communication via email and phone.
• Utilize Salesforce CRM to manage pipeline, track opportunities, and analyze account performance.
• Process orders, quotes, and backorders with accuracy and a high level of productivity (EDI, portals, email, phone).
• Interpret and apply pricing structures including volume breaks, special pricing, and gross profit margins.
• Administer customer contract pricing and ensure compliance.
• Work closely with Customer Service and Sales teams to resolve issues and deliver exceptional customer experience.
• Initiate and document dispute resolution processes, collaborating with Sales when necessary.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills to support customers effectively.
• Communicates clearly, confidently, and with empathy in both written and verbal interactions.
• Solve problems calmly and manage customer situations professionally using emotional intelligence.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards (AS/ISO, TCP, Export Control).
• Participate in a team sales environment with a focus on driving sales and profits.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
