What is an Edgar?

EDGAR stands for Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and Retrieval system, which is operated by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Professionals who work with EDGAR are typically called EDGAR filers or EDGAR specialists, and they are responsible for preparing, formatting, and submitting documents in compliance with SEC regulations.
