Job description

Image Industries is seeking a hands-on EDD Production Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of our Equipment Design & Development (EDD) department. This individual will supervise technicians, coordinate production schedules, ensure quality standards are met, and help deliver customer orders safely, efficiently, and on time.

The ideal candidate is a working supervisor who enjoys leading by example, solving production challenges, and building a culture of accountability.

Key Responsibilities Production Leadership
  • Supervise daily activities of EDD technicians.
  • Assign daily work based on production priorities.
  • Monitor productivity and ensure technicians remain focused on assigned work.
  • Remove production bottlenecks and escalate issues as needed.
  • Ensure production schedules are met.
Manufacturing Operations
  • Coordinate equipment builds, repairs, and rebuilds.
  • Monitor work orders through completion.
  • Ensure completed jobs are properly closed in the ERP system.
  • Verify all required documentation is complete before shipment.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment.
Quality Control
  • Inspect completed equipment prior to shipment.
  • Verify products meet company quality standards.
  • Work with Quality to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Train employees on standard work procedures.
  • Help improve manufacturing processes.
Inventory & Materials
  • Ensure technicians have the parts and tools needed for production.
  • Report inventory shortages and material issues.
  • Help maintain accurate inventory within the production area.
  • Assist with inventory counts and material organization.
Team Development
  • Train and mentor new technicians.
  • Coach employees on workmanship, productivity, and safety.
  • Conduct performance discussions and provide constructive feedback.
  • Recommend process improvements and identify training opportunities.
Customer & Internal Support
  • Coordinate with Customer Service regarding production status.
  • Communicate production delays to management.
  • Support Engineering and Operations with new equipment builds and prototype testing.
Safety
  • Promote safe work practices.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE.
  • Maintain a clean and organized production area.
  • Report safety concerns immediately.
