In Partnership with Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) & PRE4CLE

The Educational Service Center of Northeast Ohio (ESCNEO), in collaboration with Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) and PRE4CLE, is seeking an adaptable, collaborative, and highly skilled Early Childhood Consultant & Instructional Coach to join our team immediately/August 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for an early childhood professional who is passionate about supporting educators, strengthening classroom instruction, and improving outcomes for young children.

POSITION AT A GLANCE

Position: Early Childhood Consultant & Instructional Coach
Status: Part-Time, transitioning to Full-Time ASAP
Start Date: Immediate / August 2026
Partnership: ESCNEO CMSD PRE4CLE
Work Setting: Preschool classrooms and professional learning environments across CMSD sites



Expectations include, but not limited to:

Professional Development

  • Design, facilitate, and evaluate high-impact professional development for early childhood educators.
  • Develop learning experiences that respond to educator needs and promote effective instructional practices.
  • Support professional learning focused on high-quality early childhood instruction.

Instructional Coaching & Co-Teaching

  • Provide job-embedded, side-by-side coaching within preschool classrooms.
  • Model effective instructional strategies and co-teaching practices.
  • Collaborate with General Education and Special Education teachers to strengthen inclusive classroom practices.
  • Build trusting, productive relationships with educators and school-based teams.

Curriculum & Instructional Support

  • Conduct initial professional development needs assessments during August/September.
  • Support high-quality curriculum implementation and instructional alignment.
  • Help educators translate professional learning into effective classroom practice.
  • Collaborate with CMSD, ESCNEO, and PRE4CLE leadership to respond to evolving program and classroom needs.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A background in Early Childhood Education, Curriculum & Instruction, Special Education, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and facilitating professional development.
  • Experience coaching educators and/or supporting co-teaching teams.
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood instructional practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
  • A high degree of adaptability and flexibility.
  • A strong commitment to improving outcomes for young children and supporting educators in urban early childhood settings.

FLEXIBILITY IS KEY

This position is designed for a professional who can thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, and evolving environment.

Schedule, classroom assignments, and responsibilities may shift based on the needs identified by the collaborative leadership teams of CMSD, ESCNEO, and PRE4CLE.
