Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN | ER RN) for a travel nursing assignment at a large, high-acuity acute care facility.
The ideal candidate will have extensive Emergency Department experience and a strong clinical background caring for both adult and pediatric emergency patients. Previous experience in a Level I Trauma Center is highly preferred.
This opportunity is best suited for an experienced ED nurse who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume emergency care environment and managing patients with varying levels of acuity.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in a high-acuity Emergency Department.
Perform rapid patient assessments, triage, and ongoing reassessments.
Recognize changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate clinical interventions.
Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and emergency treatments according to established protocols.
Assist with trauma, medical, surgical, and other emergency procedures.
Manage multiple patients while maintaining patient safety and quality of care.
Coordinate care with emergency physicians, trauma teams, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
Provide accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Participate in patient admissions, transfers, discharges, and nursing handoffs.
Follow all facility policies, emergency protocols, infection-control standards, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license as required for the assignment.
Minimum 4 years of well-rounded Emergency Department RN experience.
Strong experience caring for both adult and pediatric patients.
BLS Required
ACLS Required
PALS Required
Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, high-acuity Emergency Department.
