Do NOT need the OR license at time of submittal -- **The facility is willing to request a 90 Day Emergency License** Profile Review -- If candidate is recommended by clinical team, AM will send over to unit manager for a phone interview. ER/Trauma Center Level III Trauma Center - CHI Mercy Medical Center Roseburg, OR # beds/trauma bays 21 ED Beds and 1 Trauma Bay Do you have a Fast track 4 beds Do you have a separate Triage area & do you allow/require travelers to do Triage? We have 2 triage rooms, yes we allow travelers to triage Do you have a separate holding area in the ER or are ER holds intermixed w/in the ER? Intermixed with in ER Do ER RN's manage their own ER holds? ER staff manage holds, no special location Do you have separate Psych/seclusion rooms? Yes 4 rooms and 2 ER rooms that are easily converted to crisis rooms In-house Security yes # patients per day 125 Ratios Typically 4:1 Required Certifications BLS, ACLS, TNCC, (PALS or ENPC recommended but not required) Common diagnoses/Types of patients General ED Experience or 'Must have' skills ED Physicians/Mid-Levels 24/7 ED Physician(s) coverage, PA's 8-16 hrs a day Charge Nurse/House Supervisor 24/7 ED Charge RN and House Supervisor Nurse Aids/Paramedics/Patient sitters ED Techs 24/7 EMR Meditech RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Does RT do ABG's, breathing tx, EGS's? RT does ABG's and Breathing Treatments. RN's and Techs do EKG's Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips? Yes we have tele X-Ray or CT in the ER? Transport? Imaging staff transport patients for x-ray and CT Phlebotomy or nurse draw ED Tech and RN's do most of the blood draws Shifts & Scheduling 12hr shifts Weekend Requirement Every other Holiday Requirement ? Scheduled as per contract Is there a call or standby requirement?
