Account Manager

Sharonville, OH – Livonia, MI – Dearborn, MI

Job Description

Who Are We:

We are a family-owned business that supplies cutting tools, abrasives, and other manufacturing supplies to aerospace, defense and automotive customers.  Founded in 1958, we are the largest cutting tool reconditioning firm in North America.  We are committed to providing quality products and outstanding service, supported by the uncompromising dedication of our employees. This position will be based on-site at one of our major automotive manufacturing customers' facilities. One position is currently available to cover the Sharonville, OH, Livonia, MI, and Dearborn, MI areas.

If you have

  • Experience directly managing teams of at least 10 employees
  • Experience managing projects, programs and employees remotely
  • Experience maintaining vending equipment
  • Knowledge of cutting tool, abrasive, MRO manufactures and basic application principles
  • Good knowledge of industrial supply market and how that relates to the customer
  • Knowledgeable with US Tool’s software systems and operational processes
  • Strong analytic skills (Excel and data analysis)
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Active team participant and valued contributor
  • Shares information and asks for feedback
  • Considerate and draws team together
  • Effectively plans and manages deliverable to the customer
  • Creates timelines and keeps track of action items
  • Manages day-to-day project activity 
  • Ability to understand the “big picture”

A typical day may look like this

  • Support and promote all corporate initiatives
  • Manage Site Managers and other staff at various locations
  • Identify, mentor, prepare next level of managers for advancement
  • Ability to understand and write statements of work, developing the requirement and resources needed
  • Ensure customer satisfaction
  • Ensure contractual obligations are met
  • Maintain/improve program profitability, on time payments and inventory management
  • Respond to internal customers (24 hrs.)
  • Manage activities of support staff and project teams to produce timely and accurate results.
  • Proactively seeking new business opportunities for integrated supply, production cutting tool regrinding, and cost savings projects
  • Establish & maintain productive, professional relationships with key customer personnel
  • Responsible for gathering information required for building sites quarterly business reviews and delivery to the customer
  • Customize presentations and information to meet and exceed customer’s needs and expectations
  • Recommend solutions that best address customer’s needs
  • Coordinate with other company personnel to ensure customers’ needs are addressed
  • Manage sites Ecuador, Power BI, and Value Docs. Monthly report out to Senior Program Manager
