Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and accomplished Economics and Business Coach to join our high school academic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Economics, Finance, Accounting, and Business Studies, with the versatility to teach across multiple subject areas and academic levels, including college-preparatory and university-level courses.
A key part of this role involves mentoring students in competitive business and finance competitions such as FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) and the Wharton Global High School Investment Competition. We are looking for an educator who combines strong academic expertise with practical experience in guiding students to measurable success in business competitions and applied projects.
Key Responsibilities
  • Teach engaging and comprehensive courses in Economics, Finance, Accounting, and Business Management that align with both AP and university-level standards.
  • Mentor and prepare students for high-profile competitions, including FBLA, Wharton Global High School Investment Competition, and similar national or international contests.
  • Collaborate with the academic team to design interdisciplinary courses integrating theory with real-world business applications.
  • Incorporate case studies, market simulations, and project-based learning to develop students’ financial literacy and analytical skills.
  • Guide students in research, portfolio management, and entrepreneurship projects, helping them build leadership, teamwork, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Evaluate student performance using a range of formative and summative assessments, and provide constructive, timely feedback to support academic growth.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; Master’s or higher degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the high school or college level.
  • Proven record of mentoring students in business or economics competitions (FBLA, Wharton Global HS Investment, DECA, etc.), with documented student achievements or awards.
  • Ability to teach across multiple disciplines, including Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Financial Accounting, Corporate Finance, and Business Strategy.
  • Strong command of educational technologies and data-driven instructional practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills, with a passion for inspiring students to explore business and economic systems in depth.
