Job Description

Job Summary:
The HEOR Intern will support the Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) team in generating and disseminating evidence to demonstrate the value of Becton, Dickinson and Company's products and solutions. This role offers an opportunity to gain practical experience in HEOR methodologies and contribute to real-world healthcare challenges.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting systematic literature reviews, meta-analyses, and landscape assessments to identify relevant HEOR evidence.

  • Support the development and adaptation of economic models (e.g., cost-effectiveness, budget impact) under the guidance of senior HEOR colleagues.

  • Contribute to the preparation of HEOR deliverables, including abstracts, posters, manuscripts, and internal reports.

  • Participate in data collection, cleaning, and analysis using statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, Stata).

  • Help maintain and update HEOR databases and internal resources.

  • Attend team meetings and contribute to discussions on research design, methodology, and interpretation of results.

  • Support ad-hoc HEOR projects and initiatives as needed.


Job Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Master's or PhD program in Health Economics, Outcomes Research, Public Health, Epidemiology, Pharmacy Administration, or a related quantitative field.

  • Strong understanding of HEOR principles, methodologies, and evidence generation.

  • Familiarity with statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, Stata) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

  • Excellent analytical, research, and communication (written and verbal) skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Prior internship or research experience in a pharmaceutical, medical device, or healthcare consulting setting is a plus.
