Job description

Are you ready to lead impactful land development projects and deliver results that shape communities? R.J. Burnside & Associates Limited is seeking a performance-driven Intermediate Land Development Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse ICI and Mixed-Use developments while building strong client relationships and driving project success.

What Youโ€™ll Be Doing

  • Leading land development projects from concept to completion
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for clients and external agencies
  • Managing project schedules, budgets, and deliverables across multiple offices
  • Producing detailed engineering designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Coordinating with internal teams to ensure efficient project execution
  • Conducting site visits and attending client/agency meetings
  • Supporting cross-sector collaboration within Burnside

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day project tasks and ensure deadlines are met
  • Prepare proposals, manage budgets, and lead business development efforts
  • Conduct invoicing and manage accounts receivable
  • Lead quality control processes and ensure design accuracy
  • Identify new business opportunities and foster client relationships

What You Bring

  • Registered Professional Engineer (PEO) with 7+ years of licensure
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related field with 7โ€“10 years of land development experience
  • Minimum 5 years of design and project management experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office Suite, and MS Project
  • Strong knowledge of municipal and provincial review processes
