We have an opportunity for a Senior Project Manager within Project Operations in Canonsburg, PA.ย  As a member of the Primetals Technologies Project Management Team, you will manage various projects that will contribute to the delivering of project excellence.ย 

Responsibilities:

  • Managing large, complex turnkey jobs or multiple projects from pre-booking to customer acceptance
  • Managing the development of project plans in advance of project activity, assuring effective execution by the Project Team and monitoring the project's progress to assure compliance with the pre-determined execution plan
  • Supervising and directing the project team during planning, estimating, design, installation, start up, commissioning, turnover and warranty of assigned projects
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project and upon project completion

ย Education/Experience/Skills/Abilities:

  • 6+ years' experience in technical execution of projects for heavy industry; Metals industry experience is preferred.
  • Understanding of job financial reports and the ability to apply these in managing assigned projects.
  • Construction / site management experience of large Turnkey projects
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Self-starter with experience in meeting project deliverables, working in a matrix team environment where everyone pulls together
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 20% and internationally up to 10%, including presence at project sites during critical installation, commissioning, or outage phases
