Construction Project Manager - 7 Brew Development (California & Nevada)

Position Summary

The Construction Project Manager will play a key role in the expansion of the 7 Brew brand throughout California and Nevada. As part of a development team responsible for delivering approximately 30-40 new ground-up drive-thru locations annually, this position manages multiple construction projects from site turnover through grand opening, ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to brand standards.

The ideal candidate has experience managing 5-10 ground-up construction projects simultaneously in a fast-paced retail, c-store or restaurant development environment. They are highly organized, proactive, and skilled at solving problems, building relationships, and driving projects forward through regular field presence and collaboration with internal partners, contractors, and local jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage ground-up construction projects from site turnover through grand opening.
  • Simultaneously manage 5+ active construction projects in various phases of development.
  • Coordinate with Real Estate, Design, Operations, and outside consultants to ensure project success.
  • Lead project scheduling, budgeting, contractor coordination, and overall execution.
  • Monitor project progress through regular site visits and proactively identify and resolve issues that could impact schedule, cost, or quality.
  • Review construction drawings, site plans, specifications, and contractor proposals.
  • Manage inspections, utility coordination, and municipal relationships throughout the construction process.
  • Develop and track project budgets, approve invoices, manage change orders, and maintain accurate reporting.
  • Ensure all projects meet company quality standards and comply with applicable building codes and safety requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, vendors, consultants, and local jurisdictions.

Qualifications

  • 7-10+ years of construction project management experience, preferably in retail, c-store, restaurant, or commercial development.
  • Proven experience managing a high-volume of ground-up development projects preferably in CA and/or NV.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage as many as 10 or more projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, permitting, civil/site development, utilities, and building systems.
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and change orders.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines and adapt quickly.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction project management software.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent industry experience.

Travel

  • Regular travel throughout California and Nevada is required.
  • Weekly job site visits are an essential part of the role.
  • Occasional overnight travel should be expected.
