Job Description
International Development Group LLC (IDG) is seeking highly motivated graduate students and recent graduates of Master's programs as full-time interns to join our dynamic Internship Program in the summer months (June through August). Based on IDG's home office in Arlington, VA, our Internship Program offers opportunities to work alongside an energetic group of professionals on projects designed to gain hands-on experience in the rewarding and challenging profession of international development. The intern should be available to work 40 hours per week on a hybrid schedule with in-office days Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and at home on Mondays and Fridays. Hourly rate is $12.77.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
  • Provide support for newbusiness development such as contributing to writing technical proposals, recruitment,and other proposal development tasks.
  • Conduct research for bids andcapture planning including new client prospecting.
  • Assist with program logistics,including arrangements for airfare and hotel, visas, meeting schedules,and briefing books for traveling IDG staff and consultants.
  • Assist in organizing documentsarchives of IDG programs on SharePoint.
  • Provide support for ongoingprojects.
  • Perform other duties asassigned by their supervisor.

Requirements
  • Students,preferably seeking a Master's degree or recent graduates of Masters Programs will beconsidered; applicants should have relevant coursework in economics,economic development, private sector development or related areas.
  • Aminimum of 1 relevant internship experience is highly preferred.
  • Highdegree of organization, attention to detail, and skill at prioritizing andmanaging multiple tasks.
  • Abilityto work as a part of a team.
  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office suite required with strong demonstrated skills in MSWord formatting preferred.
  • Strongcommunications, analytical, writing, and interpersonal skills; andexcellent report writing abilities required.
    • Writing sample required (e.g., academic paper, policy brief, report, proposal excerpt, or other professional writing sample demonstrating analytical and writing skills).
  • Professionalproficiency in other languages preferred.
