About this position: Office Assistant - Nome, AK
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
โ€ข Provide clerical and data entry support for Nome Business Manager and VP Operations
โ€ข Aid with Payroll, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
โ€ข Process payments via check or ACH for bereavement benefit for shareholders.
โ€ข Assist the Business Manger with accounting duties in various BSNC subsidiaries/partnerships.
โ€ข Receive and process hotel/vehicle receivables and enter cash receipts.
โ€ข Receive cash and check payments to deposit weekly. Take credit card payments from various customers.
โ€ข Provide back-up assistance as needed at the front desk, answering phones and check/sort mail.
โ€ข Perform other duties as assigned by the Nome Business Manager and/or VP Operations.
Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications
โ€ข Education Requirements: High School diploma or GED
โ€ข Level of Experience Requirements: Entry level
โ€ข Basic math skills
โ€ข Minimal accounting experience a plus but not required
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
โ€ข Ability to multitask and work in a broad range of businesses.
โ€ข Communicate clearly and professionally with vendors/shareholders, co-workers and management, both orally and in writing.
โ€ข Knowledge of data systems including Microsoft Word and Excel.
