Job description

  • Location: Remote / Virtual
  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Salary Range: $4,000-$6,000 USD/month

HireHawk builds high-performing remote teams for U.S. and Canadian companies by connecting great people with meaningful work, no matter where they live. We're hiring this role on behalf of a fast-growing direct-to-consumer haircare brand that takes site experience seriously and wants a dedicated owner for conversion and on-site performance.

This is a hands-on Ecommerce Manager role focused on the site itself: UX, CRO, merchandising, and performance. You'll run the storefront like a product owner, using data to find conversion leaks, prioritize improvements, and ship changes quickly using existing assets. This is not a marketing manager position, but you'll partner closely with marketing and creative to align campaigns with a high-converting on-site experience. If you like ownership, testing, and practical execution that shows up in revenue, this role will feel rewarding.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and continuously improve the end-to-end Shopify shopping experience (home, collection pages, PDPs, cart, checkout)
  • Increase conversion rate and revenue per visitor by identifying friction points and fixing them with clear, testable changes
  • Build and run a CRO roadmap (hypotheses, prioritization, experiment design, execution, and learnings)
  • Improve mobile shopping performance across key templates, with a focus on speed, clarity, and purchase flow
  • Own site merchandising: collections, navigation, promos, product sorting, and on-site storytelling that supports purchase decisions
  • Optimize product pages through better structure, content placement, imagery/copy coordination, and clear value communication
  • Launch new products/collections and execute on-site promotions in tight alignment with the marketing calendar
  • Track and report key ecommerce metrics (CVR, AOV, revenue, bounce rate, RPV) and share weekly performance updates to senior leadership
  • Partner cross-functionally with marketing, creative, and external agencies to ensure traffic lands on pages built to convert

Requirements

Must-Have:

  • Proven experience owning and improving an ecommerce storefront on Shopify
  • Strong background in conversion rate optimization, including building and executing experimentation roadmaps
  • Hands-on experience running end-to-end A/B tests on ecommerce flows such as landing pages, product detail pages, cart, and checkout
  • Expertise in site merchandising, including collections, navigation, promotions, product sorting, and storytelling
  • Experience launching new products and collections, and executing on-site promotions
  • Ability to optimize mobile ecommerce performance for speed, clarity, and purchase flow
  • Proficiency using Google Analytics or comparable web analytics platforms to track and analyze ecommerce performance
  • Fluent English (spoken and written)
  • Based in Canada with availability to overlap U.S. Eastern Time business hours Monday-Friday

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with DTC / consumer brands (especially beauty, personal care, or subscription-oriented products)
  • Familiarity with heatmaps/session recordings and testing tools (Hotjar, VWO, or similar)
  • Basic understanding of paid media and retention channels (enough to collaborate on traffic quality and landing experience)
  • Experience collaborating with multiple partners/agencies while keeping on-site execution tight and accountable

Benefits

  • Access to a $200K+ perk marketplace with discounts on 150+ services.
  • Option to withdraw up to 50% of approved earnings before payday.
