Burlington, MA • Hybrid

Full-time

Re-posted 18 days ago

Job description

The Wellness Pet Company is on a mission to help the next generation of pet parents fulfill a shared life of wellbeing with their pets through a foundation of proven nutrition. We are committed to crafting high-quality pet food, dental chews, treats, and topper recipes that are made with the perfect balance of high-quality natural ingredients paired with the latest scientific research and technologies. As a community of people working together, Wellies are positively obsessed with how to deliver proven health outcomes that pet parents can see and pets can taste. Wellies bring their best to work every day, come ready to collaborate, embrace the hard things, and own their outcomes.

Our team is based out of our Burlington, MA headquarters location, where we work a required hybrid schedule of in-office on Monday - Thursday and remote on Fridays. Team members must reside within or be willing to relocated to a commutable distance from our Burlington office.

What You Will Accomplish

The eCommerce Content Marketing Specialist will play a critical role in driving conversion through high-quality, retailer-optimized content across our top eCommerce partners, including Amazon, Chewy, Walmart.com, and other top Retail Accounts. This role ensures consistency and excellence across organic and paid content, helping enhance the consumer experience and drive brand visibility. This position sits within the sales organization and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams such as brand, customer and shopper Marketing, creative services, category management, and external agency partners.

Core Responsibilities

  • Dedicated, strategic support for eCom content, including:

    • Product Detail Page (PDP) Content:

      • Working with Brand on panel images and retail-optimized assets including video specific for eCom, and eventual syndication management for existing catalogue and and new products.

      • Optimizing item names, bullets, product descriptions, and below-the-fold/A+ content, for new items and existing items; content to be reviewed and updated on a quarterly cadence.

      • Establishing customer-specific timelines and asset schedules for refresh.

      • Managing customer Brand Store content, ensuring it’s regularly updated with relevant content aligned with national media campaigns, seasonal content, and customer specific layouts (i.e. A+ content on Amazon).

      • Aligning PDP content and Brand Store updates with seasonal campaigns, promotions, and customer events (e.g., Amazon Prime Day, Cyber, Chewy Sitewides, Holiday season, etc).

    • SEO & Syndication:

      • Reviewing and analyzing trending search terms within digital shelf tools to inform content optimizations and identify whitespace opportunities.

      • Conducting regular reviews of customer scorecards and leading the development of recommended action plans. Collaborating with Customer Marketing Teams to address identified issues.

      • Proactively stay up to date on Customer content policies (character limits, restricted claims, formatting changes) to prevent listing suppressions or reversion.

      • Leveraging digital shelf tools, such as Profitero, to ensure published content across eCom platforms accurately reflects our SOT in Salsify; collaborate closely with our team lead and Customer Team to open support cases and ensure alignment.

      • Work directly with external customer and agency partners.

      • Partnering with the Wellness Pet Category Management Team to identify key performance trends and translate them into content improvement opportunities.

      • Leading controlled A/B tests on copy, imagery, and video to identify content best practices and apply learnings at scale.

    • Ad Content:

      • Developing and maintaining retail media-optimized copy and creative for search and display campaigns.

      • Collaborating with brand, agency, and customer teams to ensure ad messaging aligns with national campaigns, PDP content, and seasonal priorities.

      • Supporting search and display creative briefing and asset development, ensuring all ad content meets customer requirements and is optimized for performance across lower and upper funnel placements.

      • Partnering with Sr. Marketing Manager, eCom and Marketing/Shopper teams as needed to review ad performance and make data-driven optimizations to copy and creative.

      • Maintaining an organized ad copy library (headlines, taglines, CTAs, etc.) and version tracking for re-use across campaigns and channels.
