As one of the nation's largest single-source providers of lighting and electrical products, electrical services, electrical construction, and energy management solutions, Facility Solutions Group is expanding their staff and seeking a Energy Solutions Estimator to join the FSG team.

As a member of our FSG Energy Solutions Team, you will work closely with Business Development and Sales teams to develop accurate cost estimates for commercial and industrial (C&I) customers seeking energy efficiency and sustainability solutions. You will utilize your expertise in lighting, HVAC, and other Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) to analyze project requirements, assess costs, and ensure competitive and profitable pricing for energy solutions.

Responsibilities

As an FSG Energy Solutions Estimator, you will:

  • Collaborate with Sales teams to evaluate project scope and customer needs.
  • Work with the Field Specialist team to perform site audits of viable lighting, HVAC, and other ECM solutions.
  • Develop detailed cost estimates for energy solutions, including materials, labor, and implementation expenses.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals, bid documents, and financial analyses to support sales efforts.
  • Source and secure competitive pricing from material suppliers and labor vendors.
  • Analyze utility rebate programs and incorporate incentives into cost estimates.
  • Work closely with the Sales and Solutions teams to ensure project feasibility and alignment with customer expectations.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and cost fluctuations related to energy solutions.
  • Maintain organized records of estimates, project costs, and vendor pricing for future reference.
Qualifications

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will satisfy the following requirements and qualifications:

Required:

  • Strong knowledge of lighting, HVAC, and energy efficiency measures.
  • Experience in cost estimation for energy solutions or construction projects.
  • Proficiency in software and tools such as Bluebeam, Eco Insight and SnapCount.
  • Ability to analyze project specifications and interpret technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (or Google equivalents).
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills for accurate cost assessment.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% for site visits and customer meetings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in energy solutions estimation or a related field.
  • Familiarity with utility rebate programs and financial incentives for energy projects.
  • Experience working with estimating software and tools.
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or equivalent industry certifications.
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field.
